Recently, my uncle got in a car crash and totaled the car. But seriously praise God. He helped my family. Read read read and then all glory to God.

My little cousin, Lynn, is like 6 years old and she loves to pray. She is the one motivating my uncle and family to pray before meals and always volunteers to pray. She is one gifted and bright kid. Recently, my uncle and cousin finished kendo practice and they were about to head home. But something was off. Lynn didn’t want to sit in the back. She kept arguing with my uncle because she did not want to sit in the back. My uncle kept saying that she can’t sit in the front because the baby seat was in the back and she was too small to sit in the front. So Lynn started crying and my uncle was so confused why she wanted to sit in the front so badly. She normally is fine and doesn’t make a big deal out of small things. But he gave up and let her sit in the front. They went onto to the freeway and then a porche hit them from behind at a high speed. My uncle’s prius was totaled and if my cousin had been sitting in the back, then she would have been hurt badly.

I praise God because I know he had a large part in this. My little cousin is going to be a mighty woman of God.

If you are a member of the church you should read this. If you are a teacher, you must.

Don’t take a role of a teacher without making sure it is what God is telling you to do. As a teacher or member, know that:

1) You are held responsible for knowing the material you teach. 

2) You are held responsible for living out what you teach. 

3) You are held responsible for teaching the truth. 

1 Timothy 1:3-11

Matthew 15:9: Their worship is made farce, for they teach man-made ideas as commands from God”

James 3:1: “Dear brothers and sisters, not many of you should become teachers in the church, for we who teach will be judged more strictly.”

It is a hard job so don’t take it lightly. A group’s eternity is at stake.

1) You say you love God.

2) You hate your brother or sister.

3) Then you don’t love God.

“If anyone says, ‘I love God,’ yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen.” - 1 John 4:20

Mend the broken relationships. 

Food for thought:

Jesus is always watching you. If so, do you think he sees you broken? Or a pharisee in need of rebuke?

Need to change the way I think.

Yesterday after praying for Bob, a homeless man in Long Beach, I decided that my goal will be to build a ministry for the homeless. It may sound crazy, but I want to house them, feed them, and then teach them so that they can spread the good news. Who says God can’t use the homeless?

My grandma passed away today but I know she is resting in heaven, free of pain. Life is short. I need to appreciate the things and people I have around me more.

Downside of social media for us as believers…

Looking at the substantial use of social media in this generation, I find it hard to deny that we look a lot like the hypocrites in the bible. Whether it is by posting pictures to show that we are spending time reading the bible or posting about how great we are with the Lord, it seems that doing things in secret has become a lost concept. What separates from the hypocrites that shout and pray in the street corners where everyone can see them? To me, the way we use social media is even more dangerous because it often goes unnoticed. Don’t get me wrong, I am totally for people that want to share their testimony that could edify others. But these things are a gateway to an abomination called pride. Even things as simple as checking in at a place, you are essentially wanting to show people that you have a life. Pride. We need to stop seeking so much attention.

If this convicts you, then praise God. It’s something that God is teaching and challenging me with.

PS. I am not accusing everyone of doing those things as prideful. I am just saying that we should not overlook things that might have deeper meanings.
